Bench for G. O’Connor: the plaque is ready, RC to place it on the bench.

Clerk to write to G. Kidd at NNDC Estates about legal conditions, re. where bench will be placed. Then bench can be installed.

Invoice Mrs Carter re. Worstead Station. To be sent to I Dinmore, Bittern Line Partnership.

 

Village sign is ready for collection from Wayland Prison. They are only allowed to take donations for charities (at the moment Children’s Hospice) LG proposed £150.00, this was seconded by CW

The application was supported.

JP proposed to increase the precept to £7,000.00, seconded by LG.

PUBMASTER LTD

 

KU declared an interest, stood down as Chairman, LG took over.

 

A letter from the Landregistry was read re. registration of Ruin Road, stating we should have documentary title to the road. This was passed on to Jonathan Care who replied to say that Pubmasters have no objection to the Council’s registration and he is not sure why the Council cannot obtain title. He will have written to the Landregistry to clarify matters.

It was agreed that WPC keeps on with the registration of Ruin Road as it has been kept up in good faith and to keep it open to the village.

Clerk to get in touch with JC to see what he can do. The costs will be between £250.00 and £400.00 plus VAT and disbursements (i.e Landregistry fee £40.00 and £7.00 for each Statutory Declaration.

SALT DUMP – NORFOLK PROPERTY SERVICES

 

NPS have been approached by an agent for Carl Bird to use the Salt Dump as a Waste Transfer Station.

Mr Hird of GA Key will be asked to assess the rental value of the whole site. (Fee £100.00 +VAT).

 

NPS will be informed that Carl Bird takes preference over Woody’s, because he is local and has always been of assistance in the Parish

QUEEN ELIZABETH HALL

 

Letter from R Rix re: Hall Car Park, Clearance of scrubs, weed killing, Up-to-date valuation for insurance purposes, and tenancy agreement.

 

Carl Bird to be asked to clear the shrubbery, flatten the area, take it away.

Then it will be grassed.

 

Mr Hird of GA Key to value village hall re. insurance.

 

Jonathan Care to be asked about standard lease between WPC and Village Hall Committee.

 

Letter from D. Bowers re: enlarging car park: reply to be sent that WPC is waiting to see what is happening at the Village Hall before spending a considerable amount of public money.

CORRESPONDENCE

 

Letter from Mr. D Harding, Mr & Mrs Price and Mrs & Mrs Bowers re. land between Front Street and their boundaries. Copy of letter will be sent to County Council Highways.

 

Norfolk Planning & Transportation: who owns land between Holgate Road and Sandhill Lane: pink area is owned by Worstead Parish Council and blue area: Mr R Amis Weybourne. Letter to be sent.

 

Annual return has been approved by Audit Commission: notice of conclusion to go into main notice board.

 

Norfolk Planning & Transportation: 20 mile speed limit to go ahead, implemented soon.

 

NNDC: form for bottle bank to be returned.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS

 

A book is being written about windmills; via the Web, information was being asked about windmills in this area. Article to go into Parish magazine to pass this on.

 

A Christmas Party for the village will be held at the Village Hall on 20 December.   

After much discussion RC suggested a donation of £150.00, this was seconded by CW.

 

Concern has been expressed about Mr Bates’ hedge in Withergate Road. Letter to be sent, requesting hedge to be cut back.
