MATTERS ARISING. Aircraft
noise: a member of the public, on behalf of Mrs.
R. Kline of the Daycare Centre, Meeting Hill, complained about the aircraft
noise. Points were read out from a newly received report about the noise
level and the enclosed map revealed that Meeting Hill falls within the area
to claim grants for secondary glazing. It was agreed that it would not be
right to complain on behalf of the Daycare Centre, because the MOD would turn
around and tell the Centre that they must have been aware of the noise when
they started the Centre. The
District Councillor informed the council that the noise level measuring
equipment in Max Carter Close broke down within the hour, Norman Lamb has
been informed. They (LibDem) are awaiting the MOD’s response to this. The
Council can always get in touch with the Environmental Council to install
noise level measuring equipment and proceed that way. Mr.
J. Parker proposed to invite Mr. Ed Bulpett from RAF Coltishall to give a
presentation at the next meeting. This was accepted, a letter will be sent,
again emphasising numerous concerns and to invite Mr. Bulpett. Norfolk
Record Office: the clerk expressed her wishes to have the minutes moved to the
Records Office, where they will kept in a protected area and move one filing
cabinet with non relevant information to the Village Hall, now it has been
established that the Council owns the Hall. The Council agreed. The clerk to
write to the Management with this request and informing them about the
ownership. Survey
swings: a
survey to remove the old swings was carried out by our Youth Connection
members Sam Willis and Sam Dayle. The overall response was that they would
like to keep them. Mr. S. Henderson and Mr. R. Charman will cost up repairs
and present this at the first meeting of the Youth Council on Thursday 28.08,
7.00pm. Clerk to book the Hall |
