MATTERS ARISING.

 

Public meeting: separate report enclosed. The public meeting went on until 8.50pm, it was decided to only discuss finance, planning and urgent matters.

 

Footpath to Station Road:  questions were raised whether the footpath is wide enough and if the surface level needs to be changed, because the path can get very muddy. Clerk to write to Norfolk County Council and Footpath officer at NNDC to see whose responsibility this is.

 

Children’s playground: the playground has been restored to its former glory, but, unfortunately, vandals have damaged it already. Mr. S. Henderson suggested reporting this to the Police, all were in favour.

 

Speed limits Meeting Hill: Meeting Hill residents signed a petition to reduce the speed limits in Meeting Hill Worstead Parish Council supports this wholeheartedly. Letter to go to Norfolk County Council

FINANCE MATTERS:
 
Budget Statement was accepted.

 

- Barclays charges: £31.77 (one day charge and interest) will be returned to bank account.

 

- North Norfolk District Council: £575.23: elections cost accepted for payment.

 

- Hags Play Ltd: litter bin and yellow double rocker seats: £307.71 (£45.84 VAT) accepted for payment.

 

- Allianz Cornhill: First premium of £292.88 accepted for payment

 

- County Mulch Ltd; playground bark £490.21 (£73.01VAT) accepted for payment.

 

- Universal Play Ltd; saddlemate coil spring £105.75 (£15.75 VAT) accepted for payment.

 

- Norfolk Accident Rescue Service: a donation of £100.00 was proposed by Mr. J. Parker, seconded by Mr. T. Rose, all agreed.

 

- Quote from PLG Farm Supplies for gates for the Village Hall £220.00 was accepted. Clerk to ring and arrange delivery at Post Office

PLANNING MATTERS

 

- The Firs, Sloley:  Parish boundary runs through site; extension: no objection were made

 

NOTICE OF DECISION

- The Bungalow, White Horse Lane, Briggate: erection of side extension, front porch, rear conservatory. Permission granted

- Adjacent 36 Honing Row: conversion of agricultural outbuilding to dwelling. Permission granted

 

- Carlton Farm: permission was granted by Norfolk County Council to Carl Bird to recycle at Carlton Farm.

 

DEVELOPMENT CONTROL COMMITTEE:

- White House, Lyngate:  erection of tow-storey, single-storey and first floor extension.

 

VODAFONE:

- Proposed Vodafone Radio Base Station to be removed from the Heinz factory and to be installed at WH Davison, Station Road.

- Proposed Vodafone installation at Carlton Farm. On both proposals 14 days were given  for comments before plans are submitted Theletters were both from the end of July. Clerk rang one of the surveyors involved to send an explanatory letter as to why they had to be so close together, but no information has been received.
