01/40                MINUTES OF THE MEETINGS HELD 24th JULY 2001               

                                The minutes were accepted as a true record of the meetings & signed

01/41                MATTERS ARISING

                                Grants

                                The clerk had obtained details of how to apply for grants for the

                                Youth Club & the Luncheon Club. Mrs Gray took these to look into.                                                LG               

 

 

01/42                FINANCE MATTERS

                                Finance Report

The finance report was studied and accepted.

Proposed by L Gray seconded by K Wilkins All agreed.

 

01/43                       PLANNING MATTERS

                                Mrs Wilkins declared an interest and abstained from all voting.

                                New Applications

Blyth Cottage, Withergate Road erection of a two storey rear extension support

Proposed Mr Parker seconded Mr Paterson all agreed.

Ivy Cottage, Dilham Road erection of a two storey extension, conservatory &

detached double garage Proposed Mr Parker seconded Mr Paterson all agreed.

Erection of bus shelter, Church Plain proposed by Mr Paterson seconded by Mr Parker

This is an application by the Parish Council so it has their full support. A letter

had however been received from Norfolk County Council stating that the plans are

too wide for the available space. The clerk will arrange a meeting between Mr Charman

and Mr Dawdry.                                                                                                                                                Clerk

Notice of decision

Erection of conservatory/utility room & detached garage/store at Grange Farm

Yarmouth Road permit subject to conditions

Erection of two storey rear extension at Lynhurst Meeting Hill permit subject to

Conditions

Listed Building Consent partial demolition & rebuilding of external wall at Colts Barn

Hall Farm Sloley consent subject to conditions.

01/44                       DATES FOR NOVEMBER & DECEMBER MEETINGS

These will be moved to 20th November & 11th December to tie in with the distribution

of Christmas Gifts. The clerk will place an article in the Parish Magazine & prepare a

list for members to check which will be distributed at the next meeting.                                Clerk

01/45                                LAND AT WOODVIEW

                                The clerk should write to the District Council to inform them of the intention of the

                                Council to put a seat on the land. and explain that we are actively seeking quotes

                                for this. Mr Uglow will arrange a meeting with Mr Lawford who lives at

47 Woodview,the adjoining house, and explain to him that we will draw up a written undertaking that he may enjoy the piece of land we are not using on condition that he

keeps it tidy but that the Council retains the right to the land.

 

 

 

01/46                                TRANSPORT & TRAFFIC

                                A letter had been received from Norwich City Council regarding the introduction of

                                on street parking charges

                                Timetables had been received of new local bus services in Worstead. These were

                                Sanders service no 716 Knapton to Wroxham,&735/6 Cromer to Yarmouth

                                 Bluebird service “B” Smallburgh to North Walsham

                                Neave services 17 & 737 Potter Higham tp North Walsham

                                Norfolk County Council Route Hierarchy Review

                                The signing in the village centre appears to be wrong. The clerk should query this.                                Clerk

                                Norfolk County Council Traffic Management Programme Worstead Speed Limits

Proposals are for 30 mph limits in Briggate, Withergate & from past the school to the

Four Cross Ways & from the top of Ruin Road to the end house on the Westwick Road

in the village with 20 mph limit through the village centre. Mr Uglow proposed that

we state that we are in favour of these proposals but wish to place on record the desire that similar restrictions be brought in at Meeting Hill as soon as possible. It should also be

suggested that they should look at the junction of Honing Row with a view to taking down

the hedge going back towards Smallburgh & as far as the concrete pads. This would increase visibility greatly.

Letter from Tenancy Taverns & Inns stating that Yvonne Clare Russell is applying for the licence at the New Inn, Worstead.

North Norfolk District Council East Area Committee Meeting – Mr Uglow will attend.

North Norfolk District Council Periodic Electoral Review explains proposed boundary changes.

Letter from RAF Coltishall giving details of night & weekend flights

Poster re register of electors

North Norfolk Primary Care Trust consultation document – Mr Uglow will study this & respond.                                                                KU

01/48                                ANY OTHER BUSINESS

                                One quote has been received so far for Ruin Road others to come.

                                The shrubbery need cutting back. Mr Jordan will be asked to quote for this.                                       KU

                                Agreement had been reached about improvements to the fencing in the Churchyard

                                Quotes would be obtained for this work.                                                                                                                      KU

                                The football club has finished so they will not be needing the new changing rooms

                                onto which it had been hoped to join a public toilet block. Other options need to be
