Before the meeting members of the public expressed concerns about the car boot sales which have
re-started in the village hall and also about the length of time being taken to organise the memorials
in the Church & at Woodview. One member of the public also wanted to discuss the planning
application for Blyth Cottage.

The minutes were accepted as a true record of the meetings & signed
by the Chairman.
01/59 MATTERS
ARISING
Following objections from the public Mr Uglow agreed to go back to
the Parochial Church Council & discuss the size & wording of the plaque KU
again. Unfortunately this will mean further delays.
The play ground still needs attention. The clerk needed to know how
much bark to order & when to have it delivered. Mr Uglow will discuss KU
this and either let her know or organise it.
01/60 FINANCE MATTERS
The finance report was studied and accepted.
Cheques had been received for the sale of Worstead Woven for £38
and £45. Mrs Gray also has £230 that she will let the clerk have to LG
bank.
01/61 PLANNING MATTERS
Development control committee
report
Erection of a two-storey rear extension at Blyth Cottage Withergate Road.
The committee report showed that they were going to recommend refusal
of the plans.
Erection of a two-storey extension, conservatory and detached double garage
at Ivy Cottage, Dilham Road, Worstead – permit subject to conditions.
Erection of bus shelter at site at Church Plain, Worstead - refuse to permit.
Councillors were very upset about this decision and the clerk was asked to
put a letter in the Parish Magazine informing Parishioners of this decision
and also to write to the planners about this.

01/62 LAND AT
WOODVIEW
This needs moving forward. Councillors decided on a wooden bench. KU
Mr Uglow will ask Broadland Garden Furniture to quote for this as
well as the Churchyard Gates.
01/63 PUBLIC
TOILETS
The pub did not wish to be involved in any way in the provision of
Public toilets. The position against the Church wall was not a
possible site.
01/64 TRANSPORT
& TRAFFIC
The Bittern Line had raised the question of who was looking after the baskets
at the station. No one had been paid to care for them this summer but
something needed to be resolved for next year. The clerk would put this
in the Parish magazine.
Mr Wilkins informed us that the Bittern Line are hoping to run an
hourly service shortly and that Worstead will be a request stop for any trains
which are not timetabled to stop there.
The flexibus seems to be working well.
A donation of £50 was proposed by Mrs Gray & seconded by Mrs Wilkins
for the Dial A Ride scheme. All agreed.

Good practice in rural transport – Mr Parker to look at & report back. JP
Norfolk Health Improvement newsletter was received.
01/57 ANY OTHER
BUSINESS
The village sign appears to be in need of refurbishment again.
The clerk will contact Wayland Prison who offer this service clerk
And find out about costs etc.
Ruin Road more quotes are needed.
North Walsham swimming pool has now got the support of the
District Council and is therefore likely to go ahead.
The clerk will write to the village hall committee asking for a copy
The terms & conditions of the letting of the hall for the car boot sales
and also for details of how this is policed by them.
The cricket club may be able to obtain a gang mower to cut the grass
at the village hall. If the Council was willing to buy this they would be
willing to take over the cutting of the grass when the current contract
runs out. They would also like a replacement for their corrugated shed.
If the cricket club present the Council with prices these will be considered.
The litter bins are not being emptied again. Clerk to inform NNDC. Clerk
The clerk left the meeting as her pay claim for 2001/02 was to be discussed.
