01/12 ELECTION OF
CHAIRMAN
Mr Uglow was proposed by Mr Paterson and seconded by Mrs Wilkins. Mr Uglow was happy to accept the nomination. All agreed. Mr Uglow thanked the Councillors for their vote of confidence and stated that he hoped he could rely on their continued hard work for which he was very grateful..
01/13 ELECTION OF
OFFICERS
Due to the small number of councillors present, it was decided to leave the election of officers until the next meeting with the exception of the auditor. Mrs Fairhurst had been undertaking this role and had indicated that she was happy to continue in this role. Mr Paterson proposed
her re-election Mr Nash seconded the proposal. All agreed. Mrs Wilkins also confirmed that
she was happy to continue in the role of liaison officer with the traffic committee. Mrs Rance proposed her . This was seconded by Mr Paterson . All agreed.
01/14 MINUTES OF THE MEETINGS HELD 24th April
The minutes were accepted as a true record of the meetings & signed by the Chairman.
01/15 FINANCE MATTERS
Annual
accounts
The accounts were presented to the Council for inspection. They were approved and
Mr Nash proposed that the Chairman & Clerk sign them as appropriate. This was
seconded by Mr Paterson. All agreed.
The Council was showing a small underspend on the first months budget.
Bills for Payment.

01/16 PLANNING MATTERS
Mrs Wilkins declared an interest and abstained from all voting.
Notice of decision
Permission for development
Conversion of games/office area to sun room/office/workshop and replacement
garden wall at Bengate Farmhouse, Bengate, Worstead permit subject to conditions.
Listed building consent to above subject to conditions
New Proposals
Installation of 15 metre radio mast, antennae, equipment, cabin and development
ancillary thereto at Brockley Farm, Station Road, Worstead the council has no
objections provided that the district council is sure that it is not detrimental to
the people of the village.
01/17 BUS SHELTERS
It was decided that the current village bus shelter near the village sign should be
repaired as it was still used by young people waiting for the school bus and
also by other people as a place to sit and watch the world go by.
The shelter at Four Cross Ways will be removed as quickly as possible.
01/18 TRANSPORT
& TRAFFIC
A meeting with Mr Reilly from the investigation team was cancelled at the last
minute due to his being unwell. The opportunity is being taken to arrange a public
meeting on June 12th at 7.30 in the village hall to discuss all traffic issues within
the Parish so that we are prepared when the meeting is re-scheduled.
P C Charnock who has taken over as our community constable had been in touch
to say that they had been trying to catch the young people on motorbikes, but had
so far been unsuccessful. She would appreciate any help that the public can give and
will carry on trying to sort this out.
The recent road repairs were already cracking. The clerk should report this to the
Area engineer. clerk .
01/19 REPAIRS TO
CAR PARK & RUIN ROAD
These have been done. Quotes are needed for Ruin Road. Mr Uglow will KU
approach some companies.
00/20 CORRESPONDENCE
Flagship had sent a letter asking whether we wanted someone to come and talk
to us about their alarm scheme but failed to send a brochure explaining the scheme.
The clerk should request a brochure so that it can be considered at the next meeting. clerk
North Norfolk District Council had sent their agenda but as usual this was after
the meeting. The clerk was asked to request that this be sent before the meeting clerk
in future.
00/21 ANY OTHER
BUSINESS
The litterbins in the square were not being emptied regularly. The clerk was asked
to write to North Norfolk District Council about this. Clerk
The notice boards throughout the parish are in a poor state of repair. Mr Charman
is to be asked to inspect them and report back. If possible the notice board in the RC
square should be moved next to the information board to make it more accessible.
The clerk should obtain a quote for a replacement. clerk
