01/84                MINUTES OF THE MEETINGS HELD 11th DECEMBER 2001               

                                These were approved & signed by the Chairman.

 

01/85                MATTERS ARISING

                                There is a possibility that Westwick may want to merge with another local council

                                Presumably they will write to those councils they are interested in joining with.

                               

01/86                FINANCE MATTERS

                                Finance Report

No written report was available but the council continues to be in a good position.

Bills for payment

New Inn pensioners luncheon club £102 from 28/8 to 18/12

PH design & planning £128 for bus shelter

Proposed by Mr Nash seconded by Mr Paterson

Bittern LINE bill is for £150 should be £100. Amended bill needed.

Mrs Wilkins declared an interest

                                Erection of single storey side extension 15 Northview  permit

                                Erection of bus shelter at site at Church Plain refuse to permit

                               

01/88                                LAND AT WOODVIEW

                                Mr Uglow had tried to see Mrs O’Connor to show her a picture of the bench and                                             KU

                                agree the wording of the plaque. The bench will be put on a concrete base.

                                Mrs Wilkins will find out about the fence panels.                                                                                                        CW

                               

01/89                                OTHER MEMORIALS

                                Agreement about the size still  awaited for the plaque for Mr Wilkins.

.                                Another tree needs to be obtained to replace the first one planted in memory of

                                Mr Wagner. Mr Jordan is to be asked to find one.                                                                                                             GP/JP

 

01/90                                TRANSPORT & TRAFFIC

                                Bittern Line comments have been received about the state of the station and

                                the Council have been asked if we can find someone to look after it. Councillors felt

                                that this was not their responsibility and also that there were safety issues especially

about the disused platform. Anyone taking this on would probably need written

permission from either Railtrack or Anglia Railways to cross the track. Mrs Gray                                LG

                                Planning Strategy for North Walsham workshop on 14th February. Mrs Rance                                                     CR

                                will try to attend.

                                Golden Jubilee suggestions wanted liase with Parochial Church Council                                                             KU/CR

                                One suggestion was to floodlight the Church.

 

01/93                ANY OTHER BUSINESS

                                A letter of thanks had been received from Mrs Clare for the donation to her

                                Retirement gift.

                                School car parking – they are awaiting a visit from highways.

                                Worstead Woven & memorial plaques are to be added to the Worstead website.

                                Help is needed to input these.

                                Repairs to Ruin Road cannot be undertaken until the weather improves.

                                Meetings will continue to be on the 4th Tuesday of every month except for

                                November’s meeting which will be the 19th & December’s the10th.
