01/67 MINUTES OF THE MEETINGS HELD 25th SEPTEMBER 2001
The minutes were accepted as a true record of the meetings & signed
by the Chairman.
01/68 MATTERS
ARISING
The council were informed that Anglia Railways had no knowledge of
Worstead becoming a request stop.
The clerk talked about the conference she had attended organised by
the Rural Housing Trust which is a charity dedicated to getting affordable
housing into villages. Councillors asked that a representative attend a future clerk
meeting. The clerk should also write to NNDC informing them that we plan to
undertake a housing needs survey. clerk
NNDC had stated that they only own one bin in the square & were not
responsible for emptying the other. The clerk was asked to contact them to
try to work out a way forward. clerk
The clerk had spoken to Wayland Prison about getting the sign re-furbished
Needed more details in order to arrange this. clerk
01/69 FINANCE MATTERS
The finance report was studied and accepted.
Bills
for payment
A bill had been received from T Swann for £884.00 proposed by Mr Nash
seconded by Mrs Gray.
The Youth Club needed the £100 promised earlier in cash. This was
proposed by Mrs Wilkins & seconded by Mr Nash.
01/70 PLANNING MATTERS
Notice of decision
Erection of a two-storey rear extension at Blyth Cottage Withergate Road.

01/71 LAND AT
WOODVIEW
Quotes were awaited for a wooden bench and thought was being given
to the wording for the plaque. Mr Nicholson has kindly offered to help
with the upkeep of the land.
01/72 PLAQUE FOR MR WILKINSON
Mrs Rance agreed to take this up with the Church. CR
It was also suggested that a memorials section be set up on the web site.

01/73 TRANSPORT
& TRAFFIC
A winter driving leaflet had been received. This will be displayed.
A list of changes to the gritting route had been received.
Norfolk County Council had written stating that the police had objected to
All the suggested new speed limits except for the lowering of the 40 mph to
30 mph through Lyngate and would accept the 20 mph through the village centre
as an advisory limit. The clerk was asked to write to the Chief Constable asking
for the reasons behind this. clerk
01/74 YOUTH CLUB
The first meetings were to be held on Wednesday 21st November for 5-11 year olds
and on Friday 23rd for 11-16 year olds. More volunteers were still needed.
01/75 CORRESPONDENCE
The Parish Council are invited to attend a presentation and lunch by the Weavers

Periodic Electoral Review affects District Council wards but it was pointed out that
Westwick currently has no Parish Council but comes under Worstead in the
District Council set up. Councillors were asked to consider how they would feel if
approached by Westwick residents with a view to representing them. All
