MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF WORSTEAD PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON

TUESDAY 11th DECEMBER 2001

01/76                MINUTES OF THE MEETINGS HELD 20th NOVEMEMBER 2001               

                                Two amendments were needed to the minutes. Mrs Fairhurst should have been shown under apologises for absence. Mrs Wilkins thought the wording was incorrect regarding Westwick. The minutes were then accepted as a true record of the meeting & signed

                                by the Chairman.

 

01/77                MATTERS ARISING

                                Care must be taken when the village sign is re-furbished that the correct colours are used.                clerk

                               

01/78                FINANCE MATTERS

                                Finance Report

The finance report was studied and accepted.

Bills for payment

Audit commission £269.66

Mrs Clare retirement £30 donation

Clerks salary increased to spine point18 w.e.f  1.4.01 new standing order to be set up for £154.58 per month to be set up and arrears to be paid.

The grounds maintenance contract for 2002 was approved. The clerk should ask

for a quote for dealing with the weed problem on the playing field.                                `                clerk

A playground inspection should be booked.

All proposed by Mrs Wilkins & seconded by Mr Charman. All agreed.

01/79                       PLANNING MATTERS

                                Mrs Wilkins declared an interest and abstained from all votes.

                                New applications

                                Erection of a single storey side extension for residential use at 15 North View, Lyngate.

                                Mr Nash proposed support seconded by Mr Parker. All agreed.

                                Meeting re North Walsham whole settlement strategy. No one is available to attend.

01/80                                LAND AT WOODVIEW

Mr Uglow had got a quote of £150 plus VAT from Broadland Garden Furniture for

a 5’ 6” hardwood bench. If he was happy with the quality when he saw a sample it was proposed by Mrs Wilkins that hew go ahead and order it. Seconded by Mr Parker.                KU

 All agreed. He should also ask them to quote for the gates.

01/82                                CORRESPONDENCE

A letter had been received from Norwich City Council asking for comments about

the On Street Waiting and Loading Restrictions and Review of On Street parking.

No response.

A guide to the National Training Strategy for Town & Parish Council in England.                 Clerk

Clerk to review.

Refuse collection notice . Post Office to be asked to display.

Leaflets recived from Norfolk Health about’ Illness or Injury This Winter’ and

Reducing Accidents.

Revised Register of Electors received. Mr Uglow to copy for next meeting.                             KU

                                Car parking at school. Still outstanding. Mrs Rance to follow up.                                                                CR

                                The Council wished to record their congratulations to Mr Nash who is being

                                presented with a Civic Award by North Norfolk District Council.

                                Quotes are still needed for Ruin Road.
