MATTERS ARISING It is expected that the seat will be
delivered during the first week of June. A reply had been received from the District
Council stating that the land was leased to the Parish Council and was therefore
our responsibility. The bill for £52.76 had been paid and Mr Charman proposed
that the payment be ratified. This was seconded by Mr Nash. All agreed. The clerk should try to get a copy of the
lease. Members should try to find out who was using the land and if necessary
the land should be handed back to the District Council. Mr O’Hara is attempting to trace the scrap
metal lorries which are coming through the village. Quotes had been received for Ruin Road but
they varied because of the different options available. The quotes were from M Pope £1330 +vat B & B Roadworks £2465+10%+vat N R Asphalt £3400 + vat Although the most expensive option members
felt that the method suggested by N R Asphalt would give the best and hardest
wearing solution. Mrs Fairhurst proposed that N R Asphalt be accepted. Mr Charman seconded this all agreed. It was
also agreed that they should be asked to do the path as well. The clerk
should check with the County Association whether this could be funded from
the Surveyors Allotment Fund. |
