REPORT OF THE PUBLIC PARTICIPATION AT  MEETING OF WORSTEAD PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON 27 MAY 2008 IN THE QUEEN ELIZABETH HALL

 

PRESENT: Cllrs. S. Henderson (Chair), K. O’Hara, S. Cole,  R. Barrett.

PCSO WIBBERLEY:

 

PCSO Wibberley apologised for not being present, however, he had left information about the telephone calls received: noise nuisance, theft of scrap metal, maliciouos comments, tree on road, unexploded bomb at Heinz Factory, missing person, violence aginast a person (1 call for each subject), 2 calls: cats being shot with air guns.

 

PLANNING:

An outline planning application was received for Ivy Cottage, Honing Row. 3 Neighbours put forward their objections: destroying aged hedge which is owned jointly with Rose Cottage, only outline, no plans for building included, impact on area. An old tree had been removed before the first plans were submitted for which no permission was sought.

District Cllr. Wilkins said all trees in a conservation area are protected.

 

BUSSTOP:

A resident from Briggate asked about the possibility of a permanent bus stop on the A149. A brief discussion ensued about where it should go, but it will be left to Highways and the Passenger Transport Unit to sort that out. Clerk to make some queries.

District Cllr. Wilkins informed the Council that she will be visiting the site planned for the Cat. C. prison at RAF Coltishall on 29 May.
