DISTRICT/ COUNTY COUNCILLOR

District Cllr. Wilkins:

HM Prison RAF Base: this has now been approved, with little opposition. A woodland behind the prison will be accessible for the public.

LDF:

The site visits have to be redone, some have already been carried out. Initially 2,000 new houses were allowed in North Norfolk, which was increased to 8,000 due to pressure. At present the 8,000 houses is the minimum, with the pressure on towns not on villages.

Cllr. Harris wondered whether this increase was a good idea, because of the lack of jobs, poor infrastructure and water and electricity supplies.

The Health Authority may be a problem as well, because they are very slow in requesting extra funds to cover the extra numbers of inhabitants

Public participation finished at 19.46.
