PCSO WIBBERLEY:
PCSP Wibberley informed the Council and the public present that there had been various telephone calls to the Police relating to traffic, unplugging of traffic lights, computer crime, damaged bike, rubbish in the garden, anti-social behaviour and a domestic incident. Criminal damage to the shelter was being dealt with and two (sofar) had been reprimanded. PCSO Wibberley was thanked for his brief account.
YOUNG PEOPLE: 3 Young people were unhappy that people were videoing young people while they damaged the shelter, as it was not a CCTV. They were informed that people were not happy about having to pay council tax for things the young people did ask for and see them ruined again. Cllr. O’Hara made it clear that money could be used better then having to spend it on repairs all the time. Because of the mindless vandalism no new things could be bought, because there was no money and it does not help to create a community spirit. They were informed that the bid to the Lottery Grant had been unsuccessful. Chairman Henderson suggested that they try to get a Youth Council together in cooperation with the Youth Club and invited them to attend the Annual Parish Meeting on 29.04.2008.
BRIGGATE MILL: presented by District Cllr. Wilkins N. Lamb MP is still looking into the adverse possession, and contacting the other party’s solicitors and Land Registry. There is been no reply from the landowner. The parishioners in Briggate have formed the Briggate Residents Association, affiliated to the Worstead Amenities Society and are still looking into turning the Mill area into a green. The Clerk informed the Council she had attended the Development East Committee and felt appalled at the attitude of some of the elected members, who ridiculed the fact that a polytunnel could become before the Committee and kept talking during the District Councillor’s presentation. A complaint will be send to the Monitoring Officer Emma Duncan, Steve Oxenham and Virginia Gay.
