TUESDAY 23rd May 2000

00/9 ELECTION OF OFFICERS
Chairman K Uglow proposed J Parker seconded G Paterson all agreed
Vice Chairman L Gray proposed G Paterson seconded V Fairhurst all agreed
Auditor V Fairhurst proposed L Gray seconded J Parker all agreed
It was proposed that all sub committees remain the same all agreed.
A new sub committee to work on the Three Tier Partnership was proposed of
C Wilkins, L Gray & G Paterson all agreed. The clerk will write to the clerk
District Council to confirm this.
00/10 MINUTES OF
THE MEETING HELD 25th April 2000
The clerk was asked to attach a report regarding the discussions that had taken
place during the public meeting prior to the Council meeting. The minutes were clerk
agreed subject to this addition
00/11 MATTERS
ARISING
Worstead Station
The murals and plaques from the station were currently in the safe keeping of the
Council chairman until a suitable site (preferably in the village hall) can be found.
Mrs Gray stated that Anglia Railways would be keeping the waiting room open
after the staff leave. Mr Sadler will no longer be able to continue the upkeep of the
plants at the station as had been hoped and volunteers will have to be sought to
undertake the task. An offer had been made to cut the grass and water the plants for
£5 per week during the summer. This was felt to be very fair and the clerk should clerk
confirm it in writing.
Car Boot signs
The Council had been informed by Mr Wilkins that unless the signs were taken
down an enforcement order would be served. Mr Uglow agreed to write to clerk
the organiser and also to the hall management committee about this and other
matters relating to the conduct of the sales.
The Council has paid for the School Footway and still has large bills to pay
for the Churchyard gates when these are complete and also for repairs to
the car park. It will be necessary to think very carefully about taking on any
other expensive projects in the short term.

00/14 CHURCHYARD
GATES
The gates had still not been delivered and it was proposed by Mrs Fairhurst &
seconded by Mr Parker that Mr Uglow should write to Mr Kettel giving a final
delivery date of 20th June and stating that if the goods were not delivered on or KU
before that date that the Council would assume that he was unable to fulfil the
order and would take cancel the order and take no responsibility for any costs he
may have incurred .

There was no progress to report.
00/16 FLORAL WEEK
Everything is going to plan
00/17 TRANSPORT & TRAFFIC
There had been a good positive response to the meeting with excellent backing from the attendees. Letters of thanks were to be sent to the entire panel and a letter for Heinz to send
to their contractors was approved. There was a desire within the village to form a group
to take this matter forward and Mrs Gray agreed to take the lead in this. Worstead Farms wished it to be known that they had taken note of the complaints.
00/18 ANY OTHER BUSINESS
A nominee was wanted for the Ringmaster Scheme (an extension of Homewatch).
It was suggested that the Landlord of the Pub be approached.
Norwich Cathedral was offering tours to see the work they are doing. No one was
able to attend.
NEAA Mrs Fairhurst will study this and report back.
Norfolk Police Authority Annual Policing Policy stated that the inspector for our area is
B Eagleton and the authority representative S Cullingham.
North Walsham Flexi Bus Mr Nash agreed to attend the meeting on 15th June.
Transport Conference 15th June. Mrs Gray will deal with this.
Rural Transport Strategy views should be passed to Mrs Gray.
Air quality questionnaire no response.
Car Park another contractor needs to be found.
