Quiet
Lanes Project
Mrs
Rance had attended the open evening in North Walsham where the Quiet Lanes Project
was explained and people were asked to give their views.. This is a
good project in theory but there are still problems to be solved and
some drawbacks e.g. careful signing is needed. It could also cause unforseen
problems e.g. the reduction of the speed limit on the North Walsham
to Norwich Road seems to have led to increased traffic on the Wroxham
Road.

3 Tier Partnership
Mrs
Wilkins announced that there is to be a conference shortly about the

A
letter had been received giving a revised quote of £10895.24 but asking
for an admin fee of £250 and a supervision fee of 4%. This gives an
overall total of £11518.05. The Council has already paid a fee of £500
which we understood included supervision. The Council asked Mr Uglow
to take this matter up with the Chief Executive of Norfolk County Council
and with Mrs Cullingham the County Councillor for this area. Mr Dawdry
should be informed of this but should be authorised to proceed as we
do not want further delays.

Memorials
for Anton Wagner And Bernard Amies
Suitable
sites were still being sought for the trees. Land has been offered to
the Council at the end of Woodview and although the Council would like
to take on the upkeep of this land it was not felt to be a suitable
site for the memorials. Councillors should try to look at this land
before the next meeting and come back with ideas.

similar roads in the area are not suitable for large vehicles.
