Prior
to the meeting membersof the public raised several issues.
The
residents of Meeting Hill thanked the Council for its donation to the Jubilee
celebration which were very successful.
There
was a misunderstanding about the fuunding for the pensioners tea which lead to
some problems.
There
was a query about the bewnch at Woodview.

FINANCE MATTERS The finance report showed an underspend but this often happens at this time of year and the clerk did not feel this was anything to worry about. Bills to pay Worstead Festival £147.90 R J Charman (Mr Charman declared an
interest) £304.50 Norfolk Playing Field Association £15 Norolk County Services Ltd £438.20 North Norfolk District Council pest control
bill for the village hall. This is not the councils responsibility and should
be returned to NNDC. Proposed by Mr Nash seconded by Mr Paterson
all agreed Other finance mattersA letter had been received from S Duncanson re the fireworks display in the village requesting help to finance this. (Mr. Uglow declared an interest & Mrs Gray took over the chair). The council agreed to match up to £250 funding offered by the Festival Committee to buy fireworks but asked the clerk to write stating that this is their only contribution. They will accept no responsibility for insurance or other related matters. A letter had been received from D Street stating that he was willing to undertake the role of internal auditor for the cost of £100. This was proposed by L Gray & seconded by R Charman. |

PLANNING MATTERS Notice of decision Installation of solar collectors at Ollands Barn Swan Yard Worstead permit with condition. Site Visit, Sloley Road Mr Paterson declared an interest & left the room The development control committee
recommended that this be approved subject to condition. |

It was agreed that the sub committees should be re-elected with the same members as last year. |

A new tree had been planted in memory of Anton Wagner.. |

NEW CLERK
The job had been advertised. Mr Gray was thanked for his help in drawing up a person specification. A job description had been acquired from the county association. A panel of Mrs Gray, Mr Uglow and Mr Paterson was drawn up to deal with the applications. Interviews will take place on July 13th. The clerk should book the committee room at the village hall. |

CORRESPONDENCE
An extraordinary AGM is to be held for the Village Hall Committee. New officers are needed. Letter from D Harding re dog fouling. Clerk to reply. CAB invitation to AGM Mr Nash to attend Adoption poster to be displayed. Norfolk & Norwich Hospital and Research Park consultation re access road. Mr Uglow will reply on behalf of the council. McMillan sent a letter of thanks for the donation. WRVS request for donation. This was not thought to be relevant to this area. Crime & Disorder Act. Mrs Gray will look at this. There is a new publication called Vital Villages. Norfolk Constabulary letter from the new sector inspector Martyn Hooton asking that traffic matters are referred to the Parish Constable PC 9127 Charnock. DTLR consultation on local investment and determination of misconduct of councillors. Mrs Gray will look at this. A copy of the constition of the Local Association of Town & Parish Councils had been received. Amendments to the register of electors had been received. North Walsham Area Community Transport Association AGM no one to attend. Police Community Consultation Forum no one to attend Norfolk County Council Planning & Consultation Footpath Map Board questionnaire Mrs Gray to complete The Warm Front Team application for grants for home insulation. Leaflets to go in the post office. Article to go in parish magazine. |

ANY OTHER
BUSINESS
Churchyard wall along the road needs attention. The clerk will talk to the PCC regarding this and the sheep in the churchyard. She will also try to discover where the single gate has gone as this is needed as a pattern for the replacement gates. The kitchen at the New Inn has now been re-opened. Mr Charman will discuss with Mrs Prebble whether the pensioners lunch club should be re-introduced. |
